This fine example of original home market TC was totally rebuilt
in the late 1970s. We have 29 previous MOT’s on file. The
first shows 0001 mile in July 1979 (when the rebuild was completed)
and they continue to the current document at 7,500 miles. The previous
owner bought the car in 1983 and he has documented all service work
during his ownership. In fact the car has an excellent file, with
lots of receipts for parts and labour etc. The car has been converted
to use unleaded fuel.
Today the car presents very well indeed. It is not “brand
new” of course, but in so many respects is all the better
for that. My brief drive today (it was a bit chilly) really confirmed
how well the car has been looked after over the years. There is
nothing quite like a square rigged MG for that great cloth cap,
wind in the hair, period motoring experience. We do think that this
particular colour combination really suits the car. If you are in
the market for a super TC at a proper price, then this car must
be worthy of inspection.
